Governance and Management of LDH
The Governance and Management structure of the LDH is vested in the Board of Trustees which is responsible for the overall running of the Hospital through the Hospital Management Team (HMT). Hospital Committee is the Advisory Board to the Hospital Governing Management Team.
The Hospital Administrator oversees administrative matters of the Hospital which include governance and management systems, development of facilities, mobilization of resources, investments and appointments.
The Doctor In-charge (Dr. I/C) is responsible for overall coordination and supervision of the agreed medical and clinical activities.
The Dr. I/C is assisted by the Hospital Secretary, Nursing Officer/Matron, and Community Based Health Care Coordinator, who are key members of the HMT.
The HMT meets every month to deliberate important management issues that emanate in the course of running the Hospital including implementation of directives and decisions made.
